PAIN

» First of all, we should know PAIN because pain itself is not a disease, it’s just a symptom which the patient experiences. The patient may have any kind of pain, but the reason behind it should be known first (pain may be from bone, joint, muscle, nerve/nerve root, tendon, ligament etc.). Never try to stop pain (there are only a few exceptional conditions like post – surgical or acute pain due to any accident or so), but instead try to get diagnosed correctly which is causing this pain. Now, act upon it & the pain automatically subsides. We are stressing this point because today, many practitioners are trying to stop pain temporarily through analgesics / NSAIDS / steroids / hydrocortisone injections etc. for each & every simple condition, because of which the condition may get aggravated in a long run.

» Every time go to a Physiotherapy Doctor (should be at least a Bachelor degree holder) & not to a Physiotherapy technician (he does a 2 yrs. diploma in physiotherapy), because a Physiotherapy technician won’t have skills to diagnose, he is just a technician who can work under a qualified Physiotherapy Doctor. He cannot treat any condition on his own decision. Don’t encourage any unqualified person to deal with medical cases because they may aggravate the condition.

» We request everybody to maintain their postures & try not to lift heavy weights, especially in bending posture.

» Exercise regularly. It may be a morning walk (brisk walk is better than jogging), swimming, playing outdoor games etc.

» Go to a qualified Doctor in the initial stages itself, so that you can stop the condition from becoming severe & chronic.
